Is par the same on every golf course?
While 72 is the most common, by far, there is no “standard” par for golf courses. I’ve personally played “full sized” 18 hole golf courses with pars that range from 68 to 73. It’s essentially based on both the overall length of the course, and the combination of how many par 3, 4, and 5 holes on the course.

The USGA guidelines are such that any hole 691 yards and longer from the back tees or 591 and longer from the ladies’ tees can be considered a par 6.
Are there any par 73 golf courses?
There are other par-73 golf courses in the world, however, and some are not nearly as easy as the Plantation Course can play. A birdie is a score of 1-under par on a hole (for example, scoring 4 on a par-5). A bogey is 1-over par on a hole. An eagle is 2-under par on a hole. A double bogey is 2-over par on a hole. A double eagle (very rare) is 3-under par (also called an “albatross”).
What does a par 3 golf course mean?
Par-3 holes are holes that an expert golfer is expected to need only three strokes to finish (one stroke to get the ball on the green, followed by two putts). A par-3 hole is usually less than 200 yards in length, and on par-3 golf courses you can expect most of the holes to be 150 yards or less.

What’s a good golf score on 9 holes?
What’s a good golf score for 9 holes? 45 (bogey golf) is good score for 9 holes so if you multiply it by 2, I would say 90 is good for 18 holes. Bogey golf is one step closer to par golf. If you can break 90 as a beginner golfer, that’s a good golf score.

Is it on par or at par?
We say a golfer scores “at par”, because literally his numerical score is at a certain point, namely the number that is par. “On par” might work to, but it is not as correct to say a number is on another number, but it is correct to say a score is at a number. So at is better for numbers.
